PTO Executive Board Members

President

   Katrina McLaughlin - Vice President

I am very happy to be beginning my 5th year on the PTO board, this time as vice president! My family and I have lived in Fox River Grove since Dec. 2014, and we absolutely love it here. I have a daughter in 6th grade, and a son in 2nd grade. I was a teacher in Huntley for many years before taking a break to stay home with my children in 2018. I am incredibly happy with the schools here in Fox River Grove, and am happy to be able to support them through the PTO!

        Erin Jonas -Assistant Vice President

I am excited to be a part of the PTO. My family and I have lived in Fox River Grove since 2016. Our two boys will be in 4th & 7th grade for the 2023-2024 school year and we have a three and a half year old daughter. We have loved living in this community and I love finding ways to be more involved with it. I look forward to serving school district 3 for another year and all the families in it!

   Arlene Kruser - Treasurer

I am so thrilled to be a part of our PTO as your Treasurer.  My family moved to FRG in 2021 and we have loved every minute of living in this town.  I have a daughter in seventh  grade and a son in fifth grade at FRGMS and at ARS.  I was on previous boards (Secretary and Treasurer) in other schools before moving to FRG.  I look forward to working with the parents, students, staff, and community to have an awesome school year!!!

      Theresa Meshes - Associate Treasurer

I am happy to be serving on the PTO Board for the eighth year, and my second year as Asst. Treasurer. I have been involved in the PTO since Fall 2015 taking part in the programs, fundraising, and meetings. I have volunteered in many of the committees and chaired the After School Program, ARS Book Fair, MS Book Fair, the Holiday Boutique, Teacher Appreciation Week, and Trivia Night. My District 3 children are in seventh and second grade, and we have a freshman in high school as well!  I value serving my community, and so you may see me around town in a few different roles.

   Sara Erdmann - Secretary

I am very happy to be on the PTO board for my 6th year as secretary. My husband and I moved to Fox River Grove in September of 2009. We have 2 daughters: Aubree who is in 7th grade and Hazel who is in the 4th grade. I will be starting my 4th year as a 4's preschool teacher at the Cary Park District, a Girl Scout leader and I enjoy helping out on various committees such as Box Tops, Local Merchant & the PTO Facebook page. Looking forward to a fabulous year!

         Barbara Schaefer - Assistant Secretary

This will be my first year on the PTO board and I am looking forward to the role as Assistant Secretary. I was involved in the PTO throughout 2022-2023 by partaking in the Environmental Committee and Scholastic Book Fair as well as the meetings. Although my husband is a lifetime Fox River Grove resident, we bought our home in June of 2011. We have two daughters, one is in third and the other in kindergarten. We also have a three year old son. I was a teacher before becoming a stay-at-home-mom in 2020. I am most eager to be an open ear and support to all to best meet our schools' needs.

I am excited to help represent the teachers of ARS and parents of FRG as a member of this year's PTO! I have been teaching in Fox River Grove for 14 years and I currently teach 3/4 resource. I am also a parent in the community with a 5th grader and a first grader. This community means a lot to me as I also grew up here and attended both ARS and FRG Middle School. I look forward to working with the PTO this year!
